“I’m just a plain old country boy trying to survive.”
This is My Story
I’m just an old country boy from Oklahoma, USA. I’ve been married to the same beautiful woman, Mary, for more than 50 years now. We’ve been blessed with 2 loving children, Shannon and Heather, along with 5 wonderful grandchildren.
I’ve worked in direct sales for over 40 years. I’ve had a lot of success as well as a lot of failures. I eventually entered into the network marketing side of direct sales because of a severe spinal condition that wouldn’t allow me to work a conventional job anymore. In the beginning, I was the biggest failure ever in network marketing. After going through all the learning curves and working on myself to get the right perception of this industry, I would have to say that this has been the greatest career that I could have ever chosen.
It has allowed me to raise my family and to have more of the luxuries in life than I deserve. It always made my wife and I feel good to have something to share with others. I’ve become a Billion-dollar worldwide sales producer with organizations in more than 70 countries. I could never have done this myself. Success in life is not about ME, it’s about WE.
I don’t consider myself an author, but I do have a lot of experience to share that will benefit anyone in life. Over the years I have had many requests to put into writing what I was doing to build such large organizations. As I became more and more appreciative of this industry and what it provided for my family, I felt an obligation to give back to others what I’ve learned from my experience.
I am working on books that cover many different subjects. It’s my hope that they will benefit people worldwide that are struggling like I did to build a business from home.
Before I entered network marketing, I used to play the fiddle in a country band. And years ago, there was a singer named Tommy Duncan, who wrote a song entitled “Just a Plain Old Country Boy.” I’d like to share the lyrics of that song with you because I always felt these words described me perfectly.
Ain’t got much learnin’ I ain’t a yearnin’
For the bright lights that shine upon Broadway
In my heart there’s a burnin’ for the old home I’m yearnin’
I guess I’m just a plain old country boy
This may sound funny the skies would all be sunny
If I was doing chores back on the farm
Though we ain’t got lots of money got bees to make our honey
I guess I’m just a plain old country boy
Oh I want to go back down among the sleepy pines
That’s where I’ll find that old sweetheart of mine
Each day I’m scheming each night I’m dreaming
Bout a place where cloths don’t make the man
Soon my pappy I’ll be seeing hear the neighbors sayin’ we’un
I’ll always be a plain old country boy
Oh I want to go back down among the sleepy pines
That’s where I’ll find that old sweetheart of mine
Each day I’m scheming each night I’m dreaming
Bout a place where cloths don’t make the man
Soon my pappy I’ll be seeing hear the neighbors sayin’ we’un
I’ll always be a plain old country boy
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I wish you the very best in all that you do.
